  • The included Apogee Maestro software is the Duet user's best friend, as it provides quick access to all device and system settings via a simple, single window interface. With Maestro, you can select your input type, enable Soft Limit on mic and instrument inputs, and use the mixer for low-latency monitoring.

Hi - I've recently changed from using Mac Os 10.5.8 and an Apogee Mini-Me soundcard to a new MacPro and an Apogee Maestro. I've had a nightmare trying to install the firmware onto the maestro, using the correct updates from Apogee. It's a brand new soundcard, brand new Mac and Snow Leopard. Has anyone else had this problem?
I've decided to downgrade my OS to 10.5.8 again. Before I do this, I wanted to check with other Maestro users: what is the most stable version of MacOS for use with the Maestro?

For settings only available in Maestro, you will have to connect your Apogee USB Interface to an Intel Mac or an iPad/iPhone and use the Maestro apps there to access those settings. Note - If you are finding that you can switch settings on your Intel Computer, but they do not stay when going to the M1, please see this article.
